Greenwoods Camp for Boys is located in southwest Michigan, on the shores of Lake of the Woods, adjacent to its sister camp. Director Dayna Hardin believes that Greenwoods should promote individual growth and achievement for every boy. Since 1935, the camp has been offering an outstanding experience in a safe, exciting, and non-competitive environment.
The mature counselor staff, most over 21 years of age, is dedicated to making the campers' experience enjoyable and memorable. Boys establish enduring friendships with their counselors that last throughout the years. The program focuses on fostering the confidence and enjoyment that come with progress. Based on his interests, each camper designs a customized activity program from more than 40 offerings. This guaranteed schedule of activities is a special feature of Greenwoods.
The Greenwoods campus includes facilities for all team sports, Western and English riding, tennis, low ropes course, climbing tower, outdoor living skills, go-carts, computers, and creative arts, as well as a 6-hole, par 3 golf course. Greenwoods offers boys opportunities to enjoy team and individual sports without the pressure of intense competition. The extensive lakefront is a highlight of the camp, and boys receive top-quality instruction in swimming, waterskiing, wake-boarding, knee-boarding, sailing, windsurfing, and boating. Exciting special events and out-of-camp adventure trips round out the program.
