The Glen at Lake of the Woods is located on the shore of Lake of the Woods in Southwest, Michigan. The Glen offers the essence of a traditional camp with distinct two-week sessions for girls ages 6–14. The Glen at Lake of the Woods was the inspiration of Director Dayna Hardin. Dayna has more than 20 years experience as a camper, staff member, Associate Director, owner, and Director of Lake of the Woods Camp for Girls. The Glen is inspired by the same philosophy, values, spirit, and feeling of family that have made Lake of the Woods such a special home for many generations of girls since 1935.

The Glen facility, which was constructed in 2005, includes state-of-the-art cabins, a beautiful new recreation hall, four new tennis courts, a new Olympic pool, athletic fields, and a spacious new dining room.

The program at The Glen promotes individual growth and achievement in a non-competitive environment. The staff provide expert individual and small group instruction in all activities and encourage campers to expand their horizons and try new activities. The focus is on helping each camper grow in her confidence and skills. Our overall staff-to-camper ratio of 1 to 3 ensures that campers receive the individual attention they deserve. We hire young teachers and mature college and graduate students, many of whom are education or recreation majors, from around the world. Two to three counselors live with campers in each cabin.

The Glen is a wonderful combination of individually selected and group-oriented activities. Campers choose their electives from more than 30 different land and water activities. While known for its extensive water sport offerings, The Glen gives campers ample opportunities to explore their own interests as well as time to participate in activities with other campers. Campers spend their mornings participating in activities as a cabin group. They spend each afternoon doing their individually selected activities. We customize a program for each camper based upon her interests.
